Seattle through Vancouver
Typical Travel Time: 4 hours 20 minutes.
The US-Canada border crossing is 176 km or 100 miles from
Seattle.
- Travelling north take the Interstate 5 (the I-5) to the very last exit before the Canadian border crossing (do not cross the Peace Arch border crossing).
- Cross into Canada and head North on the highway for about 15 miles until you intersect with Route 1 - the Trans Canada Highway. DO NOT TAKE 1A.
- Take route 1 West. At Horseshoe Bay Route 1 becomes Highway 99. Whistler is about 1.5 hours away.
From Vancouver Airport
Typical Travel Time: 2 hours 15 minutes.
- Proceed south on Grant McConachie Way toward Service Rd.
- Slight right at SW Marine Dr
- Continue onto Granville St.
- Slight right at Seymour St N
- Turn left at W Georgia St.
- Continue onto Stanley Park Causeway Rd.
- Continue onto HWY 1A/HWY 99/Lions Gate Bridge
- Take ramp onto Marine Dr
- Turn right at Taylor Way
- Tuen left onto Hwy 99 west
- Turn right at Lorimer Rd.
- Turn left at Blackcomb Way (at stop sign past traffic light)
- Turn right at Painted Cliff and continue up hill to top of the hill
- From February 1 - 28, 2010 guests will be diverted off Blackcomb Way at Spearhead Dr. Once on Spearhead turn right onto Painted Cliff then proceed up the hill to the hotel.
Horseshoe Bay to Whistler - on Highway 99
Typical Travel Time: 1 hours 45 minutes.
- At Horseshoe Bay continue traveling north on Highway 99 all the way through to Whistler. You will pass through Squamish (approximately the halfway point).
- You will first see the Creekside area of Whistler on your right keep driving until you arrive at Lorimer Road and turn right.
- Drive along Lorimer Road through the set of lights until you reach the 4 way stop at Blackcomb Way and turn left (Do not turn at the lights - proceed through to the 4 way stop).
- Turn right on Painted Cliff and continue to top of road where you will arrive at the Residence Inn front door.
- From February 1 - 28, 2010 guests will be diverted off Blackcomb Way at Spearhead Dr. Once on Spearhead turn right onto Painted Cliff then proceed up the hill to the hotel.
